# Linear

## Connect with a key

1. [Open Linear security settings](https://linear.app/settings/account/security)
2. Create a personal API key with Read access.
3. Copy the key and paste it into Xerg.

Xerg asks for: Personal API key.

## Or sign in with Linear

Where Xerg offers **Sign in with Linear**, you can connect in one click instead of making a key.

Xerg asks Linear for these scopes, and nothing else:

* `read`
