# MongoDB Atlas

> Xerg lists projects and clusters with their provider and region.

Read-only. Xerg lists projects and clusters with their provider and region. It never connects to a database.

Only admins and owners can connect services. See [Connecting a service](https://xerg.ai/docs/connect/overview.md) for where to find Connect, refreshing and disconnecting.

## Connect with a key

1. [Open Atlas](https://cloud.mongodb.com)
2. As an org owner, go to Organization → Identity & Access → Applications → Service Accounts and create one.
3. Give it the Organization Read Only role. Copy the client ID and secret and paste them into Xerg.
4. If your org requires an IP access list for the Admin API, Xerg can't connect yet.

Xerg asks for: Client ID; Client secret.
