Read-only. Xerg reads the workspace name and public channel names, and points out alert and ops channels. It never reads messages. Only admins and owners can connect services. See Connecting a service for where to find Connect, refreshing and disconnecting.

In Slack’s details on your map (or Connect another service… in settings), choose Sign in with Slack and approve Xerg. Xerg asks Slack for these scopes, and nothing else:
  • team:read
  • channels:read
