Billing isn’t live yet. Until it is, every workspace is free, whatever its size. Today every workspace keeps 180 days of history, and Ask has the limits on Ask Xerg. The plans below are what billing will offer.
Viewers are always free. You’ll only pay for active members.
- Team is everything Xerg does today: the shared live map, every connector, history, Ask, the MCP server, email invites and roles.
- Business is coming. It adds single sign-on (SAML/OIDC), SCIM, an audit log, 1 year of history, approvals for agent actions, and priority support. Talk to us.
- Enterprise: volume pricing, an annual contract with invoice billing, self-hosted support, a security review and an uptime commitment. Contact us.
Agents
- Each member’s coding agents are included, on every plan. Claude Code, Cursor and other agents connect with a member’s key and share that member’s seat. Map lookups are never charged per call. See Coding agents.
- Standalone agents (coming): an agent with no person behind it, like a CI job or a background coding agent, will get its own workspace key for $10 a month billed annually, or $12 monthly, on Team and Business.
- Agents that act (later): once agents can open a pull request or a ticket after a person approves it, each action will be metered.
Who counts as a member
- Paid seats: owners, admins and members, the people who map repos, use Ask and connect coding agents.
- Viewers see the map, its history, search and every item’s details, for free. They can’t use Ask, make coding-agent keys, connect services or invite. See Teams and roles.
- Only active members will be billed. A member who hasn’t used Xerg for 28 days will stop counting, with the unused time credited on the next invoice. They’ll count again, prorated, when they’re back.
No card to start
The Developer plan is free. There’s no trial to run out.Limits, once billing is live
- A 2nd person on Developer: invite them as a viewer, or upgrade to Team. Nothing stops working.
- History on Developer will show 30 days. Xerg keeps 180 days anyway, so upgrading brings the rest back.
- Ask, fair use: each person can ask 60 questions a day. On paid plans a workspace gets 10 a day per member, at least 200.
- A failed payment or an ended subscription: after Stripe’s retries, the workspace drops to Developer limits. Nothing is deleted. Over 1 member, everyone can still view, and Ask, coding agents and connecting pause until an owner subscribes or picks 1 member.
